Founded in 1916, the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) is an independent, nonprofit organization that certifies ophthalmologists in the United States. Certification in this program ensures that ophthalmologists have received critical training in their area(s) of specialty, including completion of an ophthalmic residency training program.
The ABO also encourages lifelong learning through accredited educational courses, examinations and hands-on activities to measure performance.
Choosing a Rapid City ophthalmologist who has achieved ABO certification should provide you peace of mind that your eye doctor is held to the highest standards possible in his field of expertise. Both Dr. Wright and Dr. Fromm are certified by the ABO and continually participate in the Maintenance of Certification program to keep their training up-to-date.
